About TOUR DE HOKKAIDO

The Tour de Hokkaido was first held in 1987 as Japan's first stage road race.
In 1997, it was recognized as an international competition with UCI accreditation.

The event provides a platform where prominent teams from both Japan and
abroad compete over several days, racing across Hokkaido's vast landscape.
It challenges athletes' endurance and strategies amidst the natural environment and harsh weather conditions.
The aim of the race is to promote the event's appeal both domestically and internationally,
while also contributing to regional exchange and development.
